Naps on mommy

I treasure these naps. You don't nap much these days. When you do, it's usually in the car. The days when you fall asleep on me are precious. I can no longer move you to the crib without you waking so I choose to sit and enjoy it. Right now, that means watching Netflix or working on my BreastfeedingUSA lessons.

You'll be three next week. I cannot believe you are so big. Yet your little fists still ball up on my chest when we snuggle...still little.

I love you. You are obsessed with telling people that you love them. I love to hear it. I love to reply. I love you, Nevin.

Flipped

After 2.5 hours in the car, your legs were hurting...so we flipped your car seat to forward facing for the drive home. I guess you really are getting bigger...

Firsts

We went to the dentist for the first time today. You let them clean your teeth! You picked chocolate toothpaste for brushing, of course. 

I'm impressed at how wide you opened your mouth! You loved moving your tongue around to feel everything, too. 

She said we should definitely floss the ones that touch. 

Christmas

We went to Red Robin yesterday. They had garlands and lights up around the restaurant. Chrys and Nevin were talking about how it was decorated for Christmas. Chrys asked where the tree was. Nevin said there was no tree. Chrys asked him what it needed to look like Christmas. Nevin said, "Bells." "Where are the bells?" "In my mouf... Jingle bells, jingle bells..."

Retro

You are addicted to Blue's Clues. Well, actually to "Joe's Clues" or "Pluto". You don't call it Blue's Clues. Nevertheless...

Today, you asked me if you could have a Handy Dandy Notebook. This actually made me feel a bit guilty. Being a show that hasn't actually aired a new episode in several years, the odds of actually finding a handy dandy notebook are slim. I remember one of your siblings having a licensed one. It was a party favor, I think. The crayon actually fit in the spiral, like Joe's does.

You have to settle for a 3-pack of Mead mini notebooks. You seem a bit confused that your crayon doesn't fit in the spiral, but you are drawing a ton anyway. You carry around the giant box of toddler unbreakable Crayolas on one hand and your notebook in the other. You drop to the ground on your belly when you want to draw something. It's adorable.

Hopefully I'll get to make some notes on the pages, but today you drew Bucky from Jake and the Neverland Pirates in brown on one page. I love that all cartoons are equal. Netflix and Amazon - the great TV equalizers. 

Just please don't ask me for a Blue's themed party...

Transformer

With Corin being a transformers fan, and your daddy being a transformers fan, I suppose it should surprise no one that you also love transformers. The best part is asking you what noise a transformer makes. You say, "ch ch ch" with the proper emphasis. Today you got blinking transformer shoes. You claim you can now become a truck. It's awesome.
