First bottle

Chrys gave Nevin his first bottle tonight. Apparently the downside of oversupply is that my babies get frustrated that the bottle won't just flow into his mouth fast enough. He apparently kept waiting for it to stream into his mouth and would get confused when it only dripped. He had to really work for a meal. Poor chunk.

We had that first day of 'awake' baby. It was interesting to have him not sleep all day. He's still not awake much, but we saw quite a few minutes of eyes today. We even got a little grin. It's lopsided and absolutely adorable.

I remember being terrified of that day with Ryanne. The first day she didn't sleep all day, I didn't know what to do with her. I was exhausted. I felt like I had to entertain her when she was awake.

This is different. I was looking forward to those first (awake) grins. I was looking forward to not having a sack of potatoes. It was fun to actually get to watch him be a bit of a person for a few minutes.
